Kordian Kądziela , creator of short films and director responsible for the success of the series "1670", will soon present his full-length feature debut to viewers. In the fall, the production "LARP. Love, trolls and other quests" will hit cinemas, which is advertised as "a funny and intelligent comedy about growing up, first love, difficult family relationships and discovering one's inner strength".
The main role is played by Filip Zaręba. He also stars alongside Martyna Byczkowska, Andrzej Konopka, Edyta Olszówka and Andrzej Kłak.
The plot of the film focuses on Sergiusz, a teenage technical school student who is bullied by his peers because of his passion for fantasy and… playing an elf in LARP games - live action role-playing games, i.e. a field version of RPG games.

The hero's situation becomes even more complicated when a new student appears at school, with whom he immediately falls in love. However, the girl begins to be friends with a group of popular students. Everything changes when the boy unexpectedly discovers a secret she is hiding, and a bestselling author beloved by young people - Louis Lacroix - comes to town.
Bartłomiej Topa in the film "LARP. Love, trolls and other quests"In this role we will see Bartłomiej Topa.
- My hero is a Pole living in Canada. He speaks a little Polish, a little French. He builds his image with a certain surplus. He creates himself as a widely read writer, whose books are appreciated by young people and put on a pedestal. However, Lacroix is a buffoon. He thinks he is a literary magnate, an undefeated warrior and a perfect lover. Of course, all this takes place in the fog of absurdity, which is why I got really drawn into this story - the star revealed in a press release.

The 58-year-old actor revealed that he trained under the watchful eye of specialists for the performance, and thanks to make-up artists, he underwent an impressive visual transformation.
Bartłomiej Topa wrote poems in his youth- I don't think my make-up has ever been so extensive before. In many ways. It helped me build a character that is noticeable. For the scene based on martial arts, I trained with stuntmen. They created a choreography, which I later recreated. I'm quite agile, so we got the hang of it quickly. I also had classes with a French coach. In high school, I picked up the basics of the language, but to speak like Lacroix, I had to practice a bit - Bartłomiej Topa noted.
Interestingly, Topa identifies with his hero in some ways. Although he never published a book himself, he dabbled in poetry in his youth.
- When I was growing up, there were no cell phones. Like every young person, I guess, I had my notebook, where I wrote down various things. Including poems. When I was in love, I wrote about love, but I also sometimes wrote poems about cherry pierogi. If I looked hard enough, I could probably find them somewhere. Maybe I'll come back to them someday - the actor revealed.
The film "LARP. Love, Trolls and Other Quests" will debut on the big screen on October 17, 2025.
